The Supreme People's Procuratorate (SPP) has released eight typical cases on procuratorial organs' law-based protection of workers' legitimate rights and interests, involving the fulfillment of supervisory duties of four major procuratorial functions.

The release aims to carry forward a special campaign on the procuratorial protection of people's livelihoods and provide guidance for procuratorial organs at all levels in effectively handling cases on the protection of workers' rights and interests.

The released cases focusing on the four major procuratorial areas of criminal, civil, administrative, and public interest litigation, include two cases on wage arrears, one burglary case, one related to procuratorial protests in labor disputes, one on supporting 175 migrant workers in filing a lawsuit against unpaid wages, one on procuratorial supervision over administrative confirmation, one on the supervision over the execution of administrative litigation, and one case of administrative public interest litigation on protecting the rights and interests of rural workers.

The Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee has attached great importance to the protection of workers' rights and interests, according to the SPP.

It is necessary for procuratorial organs to coordinate different prosecutorial functions based on the legal supervision of the fulfillment of the four major procuratorial functions, further advance the campaign on the procuratorial protection of people's livelihoods, and handle each case with high quality and efficiency through the coordinated fulfillment of duties.

Additionally, efforts should be made to address the most pressing difficulties and problems that are of great concern to the people, to realize, protect and develop the legitimate rights and interests of workers, and ensure a stronger sense of gain, happiness, security and dignity for them.
