The eighth session of the Foreign-Related Legal Talent Training Program was held at the Shahe Campus of the National Prosecutors College in Beijing from Oct 18 to 22. More than 80 participants from the national pool of foreign-related legal professionals of procuratorial organs, all engaged in criminal procuratorial work, attended the session.
Focusing on the practice of handling foreign-related criminal cases, the session aimed to further improve the capacity of professionals to handle such cases and advance the high-quality development of foreign-related procuratorial work.
The first lecture, titled "Thoroughly Studying and Implementing Xi Jinping Thought on the Rule of Law and Xi Jinping Thought on Diplomacy: Strengthening Foreign-Related Procuratorial Work in All Respects," was delivered by the head of the International Cooperation Bureau of the Supreme People's Procuratorate (SPP).
Experts and scholars from Beijing Normal University, the SPP's Procuratorial Department for Economic Crime, the International Cooperation Bureau of the Ministry of Public Security, as well as enterprises and other relevant institutions delivered lectures on topics such as challenging issues in foreign-related criminal rule of law, the handling of foreign-related economic crime cases, fugitive repatriation and asset recovery via the International Criminal Police Organization, and the protection of the overseas interests of Chinese enterprises.
During the session, participants held thematic discussions on experience and practices in handling foreign-related criminal cases with high quality and efficiency. They agreed to take this training as an opportunity to sharpen their competence in handling such cases, reinforce their sense of responsibility and mission in advancing foreign-related procuratorial work, and contribute to its high-quality development.
