On Sept 21, the Supreme People's Procuratorate (SPP) released 10 typical cases on procuratorial technical support for high-quality and efficient case handling. This is the first time the SPP has released typical cases on this topic.
In recent years, technical departments of procuratorates at all levels nationwide have advanced a development framework featuring "rational layout, distinctive setup, integrated utilization and systematic management." They have continuously strengthened the role of technical support in handling a large number of high-quality and efficient cases. The released cases are outstanding examples of these efforts.
These cases cover technical support for case handling in criminal, civil, administrative, and public interest litigation procuratorial work. Each case demonstrates the important role of procuratorial technology in case handling.
An official from the SPP's Procuratorial Technology and Information Research Center stated that technical departments of procuratorates at all levels will follow the general requirement of the SPP Party Leadership Group that procuratorial technology should closely align with procuratorial functions, highlight the role of prosecution, and serve and support procuratorial work. They will continue to provide stronger technological support for procuratorates to handle every case with high quality and efficiency.
