
The Supreme People's Procuratorate holds a symposium with the sixth batch of national procuratorial experts on June 8.
Ying Yong, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Prosecutor General of the Supreme People's Procuratorate (SPP), held a symposium with national procuratorial experts on June 8, emphasizing the adoption of a scientific approach to enhance the quality and efficiency of procuratorial talent development to provide strong talent support for the high-quality development of procuratorial work.
Ying pointed out that procuratorial talent work should be planned and advanced in close alignment with the central tasks and top priorities of the Party and the State, ensuring that it better serves the development of the Party and the country's undertakings.
He emphasized that upholding a correct understanding of governance performance in talent work should serve as a key criterion for talent cultivation, utilization and evaluation.
Administering justice impartially should be the guiding principle for the development of procuratorial talent, he said, adding that emphasis should be placed on effectively fulfilling the responsibilities of procuratorial organs as the national legal supervision bodies, comprehensively improving the quality and efficiency of legal supervision, safeguarding fairness and justice in law enforcement and judicial processes, consistently ensuring high-quality and efficient handling of every case, and striving to make the public feel fairness and justice in every judicial case.
Ying stressed that strengthening procuratorial talent work requires addressing both immediate needs and long-term development. He called for organically integrating procuratorial talent cultivation with procuratorial practice and striving to develop a group of high-caliber, versatile talents who are competent in case handling, adept at management and good at research.
Ying also underlined the need to optimize the mechanism for procuratorial talent work, focus on the overall goals of the Party and the State and the development of the procuratorial cause, scientifically formulate plans for talent recruitment and selection, and effectively build and utilize a procuratorial talent pool at different levels and across various categories.
Party leadership groups at all levels of procuratorates should prioritize talent work, integrate talent cultivation and utilization into their routine work, and strive to create a favorable environment for the development of procuratorial talent, he added.
Ying encouraged national procuratorial experts to strengthen their own development with higher standards and stricter requirements, contributing to the building of a high-quality, professional procuratorial talent team.

SPP leaders Liu Zhao, Miao Shengming and Shi Weizhong attended the meeting, along with officials from the Discipline Inspection and Supervision Team of the CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the National Supervisory Commission stationed at the SPP. Also present were heads of various departments within the SPP.
