From May 25 to 29, a specialized training session on case quality evaluation was held at the National Prosecutors College. More than 100 core professionals responsible for case quality evaluation from case management departments of procuratorates across the country participated in the session.
The training focused on key issues such as the organization and implementation of case quality evaluation, the coordination between case quality review and evaluation, and the rating levels for evaluation results. It was conducted through a combination of centralized lectures, case reviews, and group discussions.
The program featured thematic lectures, in-depth discussions and policy interpretation sessions. These arrangements enabled the participants to gain a full understanding of case quality evaluation tasks, learn about local initiatives and practices in building a scientific management system for high-quality and efficient case handling, and accurately understand and apply the revised regulations on case quality review and evaluation.
In addition, experts were invited to deliver specialized lectures on hot topics related to the fourth amendment to the Criminal Procedure Law and key issues in the development of a scientific management system within procuratorial organs.
A practical drill on case quality evaluation was organized during the training. Focusing on the practical needs of case quality evaluation, the drill guided participants to conduct evaluation work in a more solid, detailed, and precise way.
All participants agreed that the curricula closely aligned with the practical work of case quality evaluation. They helped them consolidate their theoretical foundation, draw inspiration from practical experience, and further clarify the direction and approach for future work in this area.
The head of the Case Management Office of the Supreme People's Procuratorate expressed the hope that participants would integrate the new concepts, approaches, and experiences gained from the program into their daily work, and promote the establishment and improvement of a mechanism that ensures every case is subject to review and evaluation, so that case quality review and evaluation becomes a routine and an integral part of prosecutors’ case-handling responsibilities.
