A national meeting was held on April 3 to deploy procuratorates nationwide to launch the 2026 special campaign on deepening oversight over the termination of civil enforcement procedures.

Shi Weizhong, Deputy Prosecutor General of the Supreme People's Procuratorate, attended and emphasized that procuratorates should focus on the key issues and deepen the special campaign according to local conditions.

Shi noted that this year's initiative is an "upgraded version" of the special campaign launched in 2025. Procuratorates nationwide, he said, should target prominent illegalities in their respective regions and strive to handle a number of impactful oversight cases concerning the termination of civil enforcement procedures.

He called for strengthening communication and collaboration with courts, and for integrating this oversight initiative with the campaign to clear up terminated cases. These efforts aim to break down information and data barriers in enforcement and ensure the smooth progress of supervisory work.

Shi also underscored the need to give full play to big data-enabled legal supervision models, attach importance to investigations and verifications and ensure that applicants for enforcement can truly realize the rights and interests that were affirmed in effective judgments.

Shi further stressed the need to strengthen whole-process oversight of civil enforcement activities and explore multiple methods of supervision, so as to provide practical examples for further improving procuratorial oversight systems of civil enforcement and formulating opinions for boosting whole-process supervision.

The meeting was held via video link and connected provincial-level procuratorates nationwide.

Procuratorates in six provincial-level regions — Jiangsu, Jiangxi, Shandong, Guangdong, Guangxi and Gansu — shared their experiences in expanding the special campaign.
