A national video conference on advancing intelligent procuratorial work and promoting the auto-populating of case files was held in Central China's Hubei province on March 18. The meeting provided clear guidance on promoting intelligent prosecution in both the immediate and long-term future.
Zhang Xueqiao, Deputy Prosecutor General of the Supreme People's Procuratorate (SPP), attended the conference at the main venue. He emphasized the need to focus on applying the outcomes of intelligent technology and leverage the scale effect to empower high-quality and efficient case handling.
Wang Shou'an, Chief Prosecutor of the Hubei Provincial People's Procuratorate, also attended the meeting.
The meeting emphasized the importance of continuously iterating and optimizing intelligent systems while actively promoting their application. Efforts should focus on strengthening three foundational areas: computing power support, standardization of electronic case files, and knowledge database development.
The goal is to transform technological outcomes into tangible applications, enabling every case to be handled with high quality and efficiency through the solid results of intelligent development, according to the meeting.
During the meeting, the Hubei provincial procuratorate demonstrated its latest achievements in intelligent prosecution. Participants widely recognized that these advancements address pain points and challenges in grassroots case handling, integrate valuable procuratorial experience, alleviate frontline burdens and empower prosecutors in performing their duties.
The conference was held via video link and connected procuratorates at the provincial and municipal levels nationwide.
Officials from the Commission for Political and Legal Affairs of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and the Commission for Political and Legal Affairs of the CPC Hubei Provincial Committee were present to provide guidance.
