On March 10, Ying Yong, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Prosecutor General of the Supreme People's Procuratorate (SPP), participates in the Anhui province delegation's deliberation on the work reports of the Supreme People's Court and the SPP during the fourth session of the 14th National People's Congress, where he listens to opinions and suggestions.

On March 10, Ying Yong, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Prosecutor General of the Supreme People's Procuratorate (SPP), attended the Anhui delegation's deliberation on the work reports of the Supreme People's Court (SPC) and the SPP during the fourth session of the 14th National People's Congress (NPC), where he listened to opinions and suggestions.

During the deliberation of the SPC work report, Ying stated that the report fully demonstrates the SPC’s commitment to serving the country's overall development and administering justice for the people, exemplifies its steadfast pursuit of fairness and justice in performing judicial duties, and highlights the determined fulfillment of adjudication responsibilities.

He said the report stands out for its high political stance, strong commitment to the rule of law, and profound concern for the people's wellbeing, expressing his full endorsement.

Ying noted that over the past year, under the strong leadership of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and the effective oversight of the NPC and its Standing Committee, the SPC has earnestly implemented the CPC Central Committee's guidelines on strengthening adjudication work in the new era and made notable progress across various areas.

He pointed out that, focusing on advancing Chinese modernization, the SPC has diligently performed its duties. This includes resolutely safeguarding national security, strictly punishing serious crimes and corruption in accordance with the law, defusing risks in key areas, fostering new quality productive forces through impartial administration of justice, maintaining a fair and just market environment, and actively strengthening foreign-related judicial work.

Efforts have also been made to better safeguard and improve people's well-being by fostering a supportive social environment for marriage, childbirth, elderly care, and consumption, improving medical and health services, and fostering a law-abiding and virtuous society, thereby delivering more tangible benefits to the public.

Ying also highlighted the SPC's continuous efforts to make adjudications more equitable and efficient by issuing guiding and typical cases to establish judicial standards, improving coordinated mechanisms that integrate case filing, trial, and enforcement, and addressing difficulties in judgment enforcement.

He noted that the court has accepted supervision from the NPC and its Standing Committee, as well as legal oversight from procuratorial organs in accordance with the law, thereby safeguarding judicial fairness and justice.

Additionally, Ying underscored the SPC's efforts to strengthen organizational management and team building, enhance adjudication management, effectively implement and refine the judicial accountability system, reinforce supervision over the exercise of adjudicative power, and advance the implementation of the judicial disciplinary system.

Looking ahead to the work in 2026, Ying pledged that procuratorial organs will continue to focus on their principal responsibility of legal supervision and their fundamental duty of handling cases with high quality and efficiency. They will enhance procuratorial oversight and strengthen public interest litigation work.

By faithfully fulfilling their responsibilities as national legal oversight bodies, procuratorates will better serve the country's overall development, administer justice for the people, uphold the rule of law, and contribute to comprehensively deepening reforms and advancing Chinese modernization.
