In 2025, the Supreme People's Procuratorate (SPP) completed the handling of 213 suggestions submitted by deputies to the National People's Congress (NPC) during the third session of the 14th NPC, along with 76 proposals submitted by members of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) during the third session of the 14th CPPCC National Committee. All were completed within the required timeframe.
In handling the suggestions and proposals focused on improving the quality and efficiency of procuratorial work and strengthening legal oversight, the SPP engaged directly with NPC deputies and members of the CPPCC National Committee through in-person exchanges and joint surveys. This approach reflects their shift from merely concluding cases to pursuing satisfactory outcomes, turning opinions into practical measures that advance procuratorial work.
According to the head of the SPP's General Office, the SPP has consistently advanced three key transitions, from providing written replies to conducting face-to-face communication, from simply responding to proposals to substantially addressing them, and from handling suggestions to implementing solutions, to ensure the effectiveness of the work in this area.
The SPP remains committed to the rigorous study and handling of suggestions and proposals, ensuring that the insights of deputies and members are converted into concrete actions to deepen procuratorial reform and foster high-quality development of procuratorial work, the official said.
