Case Concerning Infringing on Citizens' Personal Information via the Internet of Kang XX

(SPP Guiding Case No. 202)

Key words

Protection of minors online; Irregular SIM card; Big data-based supervision model; Internet access regulations for minors

Summary

In handling telecommunications and online crimes involving minors, when the people's procuratorates identify irregular SIM card registration by minors, they may proactively employ digital prosecutorial supervision methods, including the development of big data-based supervision models, to promote early prevention of minors' involvement in telecommunications and online crimes. In addressing recurring issues revealed through similar cases, such as instances in which a single minor obtains multiple SIM cards, the people's procuratorates may adopt methods such as joint consultations and procuratorial recommendations to coordinate with relevant departments, improve long-term regulatory mechanisms, standardize minors' access to and use of online services, and ensure a healthy and safe online environment for minors.
