The Uzbek Prosecutor Training Program commenced on Oct 13 at the Shahe Campus of the National Prosecutors College in Beijing.

A representative from the National Prosecutors College highlighted that China and Uzbekistan are friendly neighbors and all-weather comprehensive strategic partners in the new era. Under the guidance of both countries' leadership, the two nations have fostered healthy and stable relations, resulting in fruitful cooperation outcomes across various fields, including the judicial and procuratorial fields.

Over the years, the procuratorial organs of both countries have carried out nearly 20 high-level mutual visits. Within multilateral mechanisms such as the Prosecutor-General Conference Mechanism of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Member States and the International Association of Prosecutors, the two sides have maintained active communication, mutual respect, and support.

According to the representative, this training program is a concrete action to implement the consensus on judicial cooperation between the two countries, further deepen judicial collaboration, promote exchanges and mutual learning, and pursue common development.

Over the course of 21 days, the program will feature lectures delivered by Chinese legal experts, scholars, experienced prosecutors, and instructional staff. Combining theoretical and practical approaches, the curriculum will provide in-depth insights into China's progress in rule of law development, with a particular focus on the characteristics and practical development of the socialist procuratorial system with Chinese characteristics.

In addition to classroom lectures, the Uzbek prosecutors will conduct field visits to Beijing, Qingdao in Shandong Province, and Urumqi in the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region to gain firsthand experience of China's achievements in legal, economic, and social development in recent years.

The program, hosted by the Ministry of Commerce and organized by the National Prosecutors College, aims to provide Uzbek prosecutors with an opportunity to gain in-depth understanding of China's judicial system, especially the Chinese procuratorial system.
