Since 2023, the Supreme People's Procuratorate (SPP) has collaborated with 21 prestigious universities across China, including Peking University, Tsinghua University, Renmin University of China, and China University of Political Science and Law, to advance an innovative initiative called "Procuratorial Practice Experts on Campus". The program has entailed more than 220 lectures, benefiting over 22,000 law students and faculty members.

According to an official from the SPP's Political Department, the initiative has mobilized 238 procuratorial experts who have curated 326 specialized courses on prosecutorial practice. These courses cover the "Four Major Procuratorial Functions" and the latest advancements in procuratorial theory and practice.

Breaking away from traditional lecture-based teaching methods, the program emphasizes interactive learning. It incorporates discussion sessions, dress rehearsals, and simulated court trials to enhance students' ability to apply legal knowledge to real-world legal issues.

Notably, the curricula include high-profile cases handled under the guidance of the SPP, as well as typical cases handled by procuratorates at various levels.

The "Procuratorial Practice Experts on Campus" initiative has been widely praised for bridging the gap between legal theory and practice, offering students a unique opportunity to engage with the realities of procuratorial work, and allowing them to gain firsthand insights into procuratorial work and understand how individual cases contribute to the evolution of legislation and judicial processes.
