Guided by the Press Office of the Supreme People's Procuratorate (SPP), the Procuratorial Daily hosted an event in Beijing on Dec 16 to showcase the year's outcomes of new media development in China's procuratorial sector.
Leaders of the relevant departments of the Commission for Political and Legal Affairs of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, the Office of the Central Cyberspace Affairs Commission and the SPP, officials in charge of publicity work in provincial-level procuratorates, experts and scholars from prestigious universities, heads of publicity departments in provincial-level procuratorates, and representatives of publicity workers in the procuratorial sector, totaling more than 150 people, attended the event.
The event was designed to thoroughly implement the guiding principles of the third plenary session of the 20th CPC Central Committee as well as the Seminar for Grand Prosecutors.
By leveraging the exemplary role of outstanding models, it aims to promote continuous improvement in the construction of new media platforms in procuratorates across the country and enhance the operational capabilities and professional skills of the workforce, thus better advancing the high-quality development of procuratorial publicity and cultural work in the new era.
The event featured segments such as memory of the year, an outstanding cases exhibition and experience sharing. In the section of the memory of the year, the new media development in the procuratorial sector throughout the year was reviewed.
Chief prosecutors of five prefecture-level procuratorates in Beijing, Shanghai, Shandong, Zhejiang and Guangxi shared the stories behind five selected photos.
The director of the Political Department of the Chongqing Municipal People's Procuratorate, the chief prosecutor of Dalian Municipal People's Procuratorate in Liaoning province, the head of the publicity division of the Political Department of the Henan Provincial People's Procuratorate, the head of the publicity division of the Political Department of the Sichuan Provincial People's Procuratorate, and the chief prosecutor of the Yanshan County People's Procuratorate of Hebei province shared their experiences in innovative publicity work and storytelling related to the rule of law and procuratorial work.
The "Zhengxiaoyi IP Brand Creation Plan" was also unveiled at the event. "Zhengxiaoyi" is an IP image based on more than 20 years of brand building experience of the Justice Network, an online platform of the Procuratorial Daily, promoting the core values of "youth, intelligence, fairness and justice". The Justice Network intends to use the IP image for activities involving creative content, cultural products, legal services and legal publicity.
