The Procuratorial Technology Information Research Center of the Supreme People's Procuratorate (SPP) and the Earth Observation System and Data Center of the China National Space Administration (CNSA) recently signed a framework agreement on strategic cooperation.
The agreement aims to provide national satellite remote sensing data to procuratorial organs at all levels across the country, assisting technical support for their handling of cases.
The two sides also discussed data sharing in the field of satellite remote sensing, technical application services, scientific research projects, and talent training and exchange.
Zhang Xueqiao, Deputy Prosecutor General of the SPP, delivered a speech at the signing ceremony. Remote sensing technology, as one of the new quality productive forces, significantly enhances procuratorial organs' capability to find clues and evidence in the environmental and resources fields, and improves their efficiency and intelligence of case handling in public interest litigation, he said.
Procuratorial organs are ready to deepen cooperation with aerospace agencies in areas such as national satellite remote sensing data sharing, in-depth analysis and application of remote sensing data, technology research and talent cultivation in the field of remote sensing, jointly promoting the widespread application and sustainable development of remote sensing technology in the procuratorial sector, he said.
Bian Zhigang, Vice-Administrator of the CNSA, said the administration will deepen technical exchanges and cooperation with procuratorial organs, continuously provide technological support for them to fulfill their legal supervision functions, and help to deepen and solidify technology application in procuratorial case handling.
