The Supreme People's Procuratorate (SPP) has rolled out a training program for foreign-related legal professionals with experts and scholars invited to deliver topic-specific lectures.
The training session aims to thoroughly implement the guiding principles of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and the second and third plenary sessions of the 20th CPC Central Committee, strengthen foreign-related rule of law, and cultivate a team of high-quality foreign-related legal professionals.
A total of 40 participants from the internal institutions and directly affiliated entities of the SPP attended the three-month training session, which featured a work-study approach.
The training program, organized by the Political Department and the International Cooperation Bureau of the SPP, has featured 13 lectures since its commencement on June 12.
The curricula covered a range of topics, including Xi Jinping Thought on Diplomacy, Xi Jinping Thought on the Rule of Law, international relations, foreign-related legal theories, foreign-related legal practices, legal translation and English expressions.
Experts and scholars with deep theoretical knowledge and rich practical experience shared their frontline experiences and cutting-edge theories with participants.
The training program also featured interactive activities such as group competitions and role-playing scenarios. These activities aimed to provide a diverse and open learning and exchange platform for the participants, fostering a group of foreign-related legal professionals with firm political stance, solid professional skills, a global vision and proficiency in foreign-related legal practices.
Participants lauded the training for its positive role in deepening their understanding of the importance of foreign-related rule of law and providing a clear pathway to the undertaking's advancement.
They noted that the training had provided them with a comprehensive understanding of procuratorial foreign-related rule of law, solidified their theoretical foundation, broadened their global vision, expanded their thinking patterns regarding procuratorial work, and enhanced their professional capabilities.
In future, the training program will adopt various methods, including seminars, discussions and research, to help participants deepen their thinking on procuratorial foreign-related rule of law based on their work.
It will further enhance participants' professional capabilities and levels of foreign-related procuratorial work, ensure their effective implementation of the requirement of "handling each case with high quality and efficiency", and solidly advance procuratorial foreign-related rule of law through the fulfillment of duties with high quality and efficiency.
