Procuratorial authorities across the country are carrying out the 5th prosecution publicity week for a new era, which started on July 8 and will last until July 14. The event is themed on "administrative prosecution accompanies the people to support the development of the rule of law in China".
This publicity week is designed to fully implement the requirement of the Supreme People's Procuratorate (SPP) in "handling each case with high quality and efficiency" with a focus on enhancing the quality and effectiveness of administrative litigation supervision.
It aims to promote coordination in the handling of criminal and administrative cases and the supervision of administrative violations, and advance law-based administration and fairness in justice.
While promoting administrative procuratorial work, such as the campaigns of procuratorial protection of enterprises and procuratorial protection of people's livelihoods, the event will also showcase the experiences, practices and achievements of administrative prosecution in the new era in safeguarding the legitimate rights and interests of the people and promoting the modernization of the national governance system and capacity.
During the publicity week, procuratorial organs nationwide will organize activities tailored to local conditions, such as press conferences, online interviews, releasing typical cases, prosecutors sharing case-handling stories, conducting on-site legal education, and collective interviews, to present the achievements made in enhancing the modernization of administrative prosecution in philosophies, systems, mechanisms and capabilities.
The SPP will also hold special press conferences, conduct live streaming to share stories of prosecutors on the front line, and present stories of excellent administrative prosecution cases and legal education work from various regions through its official websites and new media platforms, highlighting the achievements of administrative prosecution accompanying the people to support the development of the rule of law in China.
