The Supreme People's Procuratorate (SPP) held a training session for foreign-related legal talents on June 12. Teng Jiguo, a member of the Party Leadership Group and Head of the Political Department of the SPP, attended and addressed the opening ceremony.
Teng pointed out that foreign-related rule of law, as an important part of socialist rule of law system with Chinese characteristics, concerns the comprehensive law-based governance and the overall situation of China's opening-up and diplomatic work.
Procuratorial organs should focus on case handling, strengthen their professional capacity, and ensure the effective implementation of the requirement of "handling each case with high quality and efficiency", in a bid to solidly advance procuratorial foreign-related rule of law through the fulfillment of duties, he noted.
Noting that the core of team building of foreign-related legal talents lies in the cultivation of capability, Teng emphasized that foreign-related legal talents of procuratorial organs in the new era should have a firm political stance, consciously strengthen confidence in the path, theory, system, and culture of socialism with Chinese characteristics, continuously broaden their global vision, and resolutely safeguard national sovereignty and development interests through advancing the rule of law.
Additionally, procuratorial organs should strengthen scientific planning and systematic talent cultivation, deepen cooperation with other relevant departments and universities, and continuously make foreign-related legal talent training more targeted, forward-looking and effective, he added.
Participants of the training come from internal institutions and directly affiliated entities of the SPP. The three-month training session featuring work-study approach will invite experts and scholars from procuratorial departments and universities to deliver lectures.
