The Eighth Procuratorial Department of the Supreme People's Procuratorate (SPP) recently issued the Instructions on Properly, Precisely and Effectively Conducting Procuratorial Work on Public Interest Litigations for Barrier-Free Environment Construction (the Work Instructions), providing guidance on barrier-free and elderly-oriented public interest litigation work related to public self-service terminal equipment, drug instructions and so on. By issuing the document, the SPP aims to supervise and ensure the uniform and proper implementation of the Law on Barrier-Free Environment Construction, and guide procuratorial organs at all levels to properly, precisely and effectively conduct procuratorial work on public Interest litigations for barrier-Free environment construction.
The release of the Work Instructions is a concrete manifestation that procuratorial organs have actively integrated their work with the the barrier-free environment construction and improved the care services for special groups such as the elderly.
