In order to fully implement Xi Jinping Thought on the Rule of Law, and further improve the case quality evaluation indicators for procuratorial organs to make them better meet the higher requirements of the Party and the people and comply with procuratorial work, the Supreme People's Procuratorate (SPP) has further revised the Main Case Quality Evaluation Indicators for Procuratorial Organs implemented since March 2023. The number of the evaluation indicators was streamlined from 46 to 38, and the indicator notification score was reduced from 14 to 6 items.
The new revision to the evaluation indicators was designed to ensure that prosecutors are not trapped by data and burdened by assessment work.
On the basis of adhering to systematic conceptualization and thinking, and focusing on comprehensive, overall, composite and practical performance-based evaluation, the new revision highlights the following characteristics: First, the indicators were further streamlined. Second, the indicator notification score has been reduced. Third, overall evaluation was highlighted, which better reflects the overall evaluation of the procuratorial work.
