An award ceremony for the third National Procuratorial Cultural Brands Selection and Exhibition is jointly held by the News Office of the Supreme People's Procuratorate and the Procuratorate Daily in Beijing on Nov 24, 2023.

The event was launched in April this year. After the preliminary evaluation by the organizing committee, 40 brands were selected for the re-evaluation phase from a pool of 92 prosecution cultural brands. Then, heads of the SPP's internal institutions and directly affiliated entities voted and select 20 brands for the final evaluation.

Coming from 20 provinces and autonomous regions, the 20 brands shortlisted for the final evaluation were themed on publicizing the procuratorial organs' major functions in criminal, civil, administrative and public interest litigation prosecutions, team building, and other procuratorial work, according to the SPP News Office. It said that they are outstanding representatives of cultural brand construction by procuratorial organs in China.

The selected works from Fujian and Sichuan provinces, for instance, unveiled the stories and changes of local procuratorial authorities in safeguarding the rights and interests of minors, and efforts to improve the relevant protection system.

Procuratorial agencies in Hebei province drew cartoons to interpret laws and regulations, and procuratorial staff in the Inner Mongolia autonomous region publicized procuratorial affairs and services by creating humorous cultural works based on social focuses and public interest, with one brand product attracting more than 8 million fans online.

The judges of the final evaluation, experts from national publicity institutions, writers' associations, and literary and artistic performance groups affirmed that the exhibited works are all excellent works popularizing laws and regulations for ordinary people.
