The Legal system is ever evolving to cater to the new challenges of the Society, the Govt. of India has introduced three bills in the Parliament to replace and improve the Laws that form the backbone of Criminal Jurisprudence in India ie. Indian Penal Code,1860,  Indian Evidence Act, 1872 and the Criminal Procedure Code, 1898 with Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhita, Bhartiya Sakshya and Bhartiya Nagrik Suraksha Sanhita respectively. In these Laws, special care has been taken of women and children; it has been ensured that criminals are punished and the police cannot misuse their powers. 

Simultaneously, to strengthen the administrative Framework and to fight against corruption, India has made it a regular exercise to observe Vigilance Awareness Week every year and the Govt. Officials to take integrity pledge with the theme this year as "Say no to corruption; Commit to the Nation".
