Currently, the focus of the Belarusian prosecutorial authority is on combating extremism and preventing the extremists from disrupting domestic socio-political and economic stability. We particularly emphasize strengthening cooperation with judicial authorities in controlling mass disorder, and identifying and holding criminals accountable. Over 70 percent of extremist crimes in our country are committed using information technology.
The prosecutorial authority has enhanced its efforts in public awareness and education, especially targeting the general labor masses and students. Thousands of meetings and speeches have been held to provide the public with information, explaining the objective situation of the country, and clarifying legal requirements.
