Chinese procuratorial departments should further reinforce their efforts to plan and promote work concerning ecological and environmental protection, as the country still faces structural, fundamental and sustained pressures in its ecological conservation and environmental protection.
Ying Yong, Prosecutor General of the Supreme People's Procuratorate and China's Chief Grand Prosecutor, stressed those points in a special report at the sixth session of the Standing Committee of the 14th National People's Congress (NPC) in Beijing on October 21.
Procuratorial departments nationwide will target the country's fundamental goals and tasks in the upcoming five years and the 2035 Beautiful China Initiative, fulfill their legal supervision functions, and work together to make the sky blue, the mountains green and the water clear.
